On August 6, CreditAccess India B.V., the Dutch promoter of CreditAccess Grameen, sold a 2.28 percent stake in the micro‑finance firm. The transaction was conducted through open‑market block deals and involved 36.57 lakh shares.
The shares were sold at a price of Rs 1,482 each, totaling Rs 542.04 crore. This sale reduced the promoter’s holding from 66.21 percent to 63.93 percent of the company’s paid‑up equity.
A total of eleven domestic and foreign institutional investors bought the shares. The buyers included Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius, Eastspring Investments India, Nippon India Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, Blackstone, Axis Mutual Fund, and Border to Coast Emerging Markets Equity Fund.
In a separate block deal, promoter group entities of Anand Rathi Wealth sold a combined 6.97 lakh shares, representing a 0.41 percent stake. The shares were sold for Rs 137.65 crore.
Anand Nandkishore Rathi sold 2.97 lakh shares for Rs 58.65 crore, Navratan Mal Gupta (HUF) sold 2.55 lakh shares for Rs 50.36 crore, and Jaipur Securities sold 1.45 lakh shares for Rs 28.63 crore. The transaction price per share was Rs 1,975.
Buyers in the Anand Rathi deal included K R Family Trust, Hemang Shah Family Trust, Manjushree Fincap, and Fahim Sultan Ali.
Following the block deals, CreditAccess Grameen shares closed 1.27 percent higher at Rs 1,547 on the National Stock Exchange, while Anand Rathi Wealth shares rose 1.66 percent to Rs 2,071.50.
