"We have operations here, but we have a further plan to expand our presence in the Indian market. We are looking for a production place where we can accommodate our facility for localisation of our products in India," Labutin said.

The planned plant would be roughly half the size of DNA Technology’s current 20,000‑sq‑m manufacturing footprint in Russia. By establishing a local production base, the company hopes to tap into India’s large market for diagnostic equipment and to strengthen its participation in the government’s Make‑in‑India programme.

Establishing a significant production base in the country could help the company expand not only its Indian business but also its wider international operations," he added.
