The consultation paper explores two options for fixing derivative settlement prices:
1. Blended Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP)
2. Net settlement of funds for mutual fund schemes in the cash market
Sebi Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated that the regulator aims to improve liquidity, strengthen price discovery, and enhance interaction between the cash and derivatives markets.
"We are consulting on Fixed Income Channel Partners to widen distribution through regulated online bond platforms," Pandey added.
The consultation paper also discusses the development of a comprehensive market-making framework covering liquidity, market infrastructure, and repo access.
