Delhi HC quashes 7 ITAT orders in Patanjali case, flags 'undue haste'
The Delhi High Court has set aside seven orders passed by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal in a batch of cross-appeals involving Patanjali Ayurved, citing serious procedural lapses, inconsistent hearing and pronouncement dates, and a lack of reasoning in the Tribunal's orders.
The case involves tax assessments for FY 2013-14 to 2015-16 and 2017-18 arising from a 2018 search on the Hawala Traders Group.
Flipkart plans to hire 250,000 workers to meet festive demand
Flipkart plans to create over 250,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, including gig workers, for the festive season, an increase of 30,000 over last year.
About 75,000 of the new openings will be for first-time workforce entrants, with 60% of roles centred on last-mile delivery.
The Walmart-owned company is setting up over 900 new festive delivery hubs and nearly 140,000 additional last-mile roles to meet rising demand ahead of Big Billion Days on October 9.

Hero Motors Limited's initial public offering opens today, with the issue comprising a fresh issue of up to ₹600 crore at a price band of ₹79 to ₹84 per equity share.
The IPO closes for subscription on Friday, September 18.
MediaTek unveils Dimensity 9600 Pro, its first 2nm flagship chip
Taiwan's MediaTek has unveiled a new smartphone chip built on TSMC's most advanced 2-nanometre manufacturing technology, targeting the premium handset market with chips capable of running more AI features directly on-device.
The move is part of a broader push to gain ground on US rival Qualcomm in premium phones, where higher-priced devices and AI features offer better margins.
MediaTek said the Dimensity 9600 Pro is its first mobile processor built using TSMC's cutting-edge 2nm process.
Café Mondegar, 3 other Mumbai outlets lose licences over hygiene violations
Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration has suspended the licence of Café Mondegar, a popular South Mumbai restaurant, along with three other food establishments, after inspections found serious food safety and hygiene violations including inadequate cold storage, improper thawing and structural deficiencies posing cross-contamination risk.
The FDA had inspected Café Mondegar on September 12.
