Board Decision on Early Retirement Ujjivan Small Finance Bank’s board approved the early retirement request of MD and CEO Sanjeev Nautiyal, citing health reasons. The decision was taken after Nautiyal submitted his notice on August 31, 2026, and the board respected his request. He will be on leave from September 1, 2026, and his notice period will end on November 30, 2026, at which point he will cease to be the MD, CEO and Key Managerial Personnel.
Acting CEO Appointment In accordance with the Nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendation, the board appointed Executive Director Carol Furtado as the acting MD and CEO effective September 1, 2026, subject to Reserve Bank of India approval. Furtado, a long‑time member of Ujjivan’s leadership team, has been instrumental in building the bank’s foundation and growth trajectory. The board will now commence the search for a permanent successor and submit its recommendation to the RBI in due course.
