Y Combinator, a US‑based venture capital firm, sold a 1.19 % equity stake in Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of Groww, on August 18. The sale involved 7.46 crore shares at Rs 192.16 each, totaling Rs 1,435.2 crore. YC Holdings II LLC, the entity that held the stake, had a 9.8 % share in the company as of June 2026.
After the news, Groww shares fell 2.46 % and closed at Rs 193.81 on the National Stock Exchange, with high trading volumes.
In another move, Vijay Kedia’s Kedia Securities bought 20 lakh shares of Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services, a spend‑management solutions provider. This purchase gave the investor a 1.48 % stake for Rs 32.94 crore, priced at Rs 164.72 per share. Zaggle shares rose 3.36 % to Rs 165.88 at the close.
HDFC Mutual Fund sold 5.32 lakh shares of Cyient, an engineering and digital‑transformation firm, at Rs 854.01 per share, a sale worth Rs 45.47 crore. HDFC AMC held a 5.7 % stake in Cyient as of June 2026. Cyient’s share price finished at Rs 858.55, down 1.09 %.
Lloyds Enterprises purchased 97,622 shares of Welspun Investments & Commercials, acquiring a 2.67 % stake at Rs 1,790 per share for Rs 17.47 crore.
Larsen & Toubro bought 2.08 crore units of Nxt‑Infra Trust, an infrastructure investment trust, at Rs 95.33 per unit, paying Rs 199 crore. In the same transaction, AK Capital Finance sold 2.1 crore units of the trust at Rs 200.67 crore, also at Rs 95.33 per unit.
Promoter entities Pipalia Cables & Wires and Foils India Laminates bought shares in PG Foils. Pipalia bought 1 lakh shares for Rs 1.96 crore at Rs 196.28 each, while Foils India Laminates bought 1.5 lakh shares for Rs 2.93 crore at Rs 195.65 per share, together representing 2.11 % of the company’s paid‑up equity.
Stone Colour Exim exited PG Foils by selling 2.5 lakh shares for Rs 4.89 crore at Rs 195.9 per share.
