Amazon Seller Services Pvt Ltd, the marketplace arm of Amazon in India, reported total income of Rs 35,574 crore in FY26, up 15.5% from Rs 30,805 crore a year earlier, according to its latest statutory filing with the Registrar of Companies.
The company narrowed its loss after tax to Rs 389.9 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 408.2 crore in FY25. At the operating level, it posted a profit before interest and tax of Rs 172 crore, marking the first positive PBIT year for its Indian operations.
This milestone follows FY25, when Amazon Seller Services became the first Indian unit to record positive earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation.
Amazon is boosting its presence in India with a planned investment of $48 billion between 2026 and 2030. The total investment in India will exceed $88 billion by the end of the decade, up from the $40 billion invested since 2010.
The new spending will expand the logistics network that supports e‑commerce and quick‑commerce, and will also increase capacity for AI and cloud services. Amazon has been scaling its quick‑commerce arm, Amazon Now, as competition for rapid grocery and essentials delivery intensifies.
In June, Amazon Now was announced as the fastest‑growing e‑commerce unit in Amazon India’s history, with orders doubling every quarter since launch. The company plans to roll out the service in more than 300 cities.
During a visit to India in June, Amazon Global CEO Andy Jassy said the company has seen strong growth across its e‑commerce, AI and cloud businesses after more than a decade in the market. "For over a decade, we have been serving customers, sellers, developers, startups, and enterprises through our different businesses," he said.
Amazon is also expanding its physical infrastructure. It plans to open more than 20 fulfilment centres and over 100 last‑mile delivery stations this year. The company also aims to support 3.8 million jobs in India and enable $80 billion in cumulative exports by 2030.
