ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched a new term insurance product called ICICI Pru iProtect Smart Her. The plan is made for women and mixes life protection with health and wellness perks. It aims to meet the changing needs of women at different life stages.
One of the key features is a 15 percent discount on premiums that lasts for the life of the policy. The plan also lets women pause their premiums during pregnancy, giving them flexibility when they need it most.
The policy includes an increasing income payout for child education. If the policyholder dies, the nominee receives a yearly income that grows by 10 percent each year for ten years.
Vikas Gupta, the Chief Product Officer, said that Indian women juggle many roles and their financial plans evolve over time. He added that the plan is designed to offer comprehensive protection while also addressing health and wellness needs.
Women who buy the plan can use several health‑management services. These include teleconsultations with specialists, annual health check‑ups, risk assessments, wellness articles, and discounts on medicines and diagnostics.
Overall, the plan provides benefits worth up to Rs 92,100. Out of this, up to Rs 25,000 is dedicated to women‑specific health and wellness perks, adding extra value for customers.
The company has used its digital platform to make buying the plan smooth. Customers can buy online, manage their policy, and file claims without hassle.
ICICI Prudential has a strong record of settling claims quickly. In Q1 of FY2027, the company settled 99.3 percent of claims, and most non‑investigative death claims were paid within one day.
