HCLTech announced on Tuesday that it has found no evidence of a breach of its systems or any impact on client engagements after a hacker group claimed potential exposure of employee data.
The company’s initial investigation indicates that the data in question may be limited and dates back several years.
This comes a few hours after Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) issued a similar notification, stating that it received threat‑intelligence alerts about possible exposure of employee information.
TCS also added that its investigation has found no credible evidence of a breach of its systems or customer environments.
HCLTech reiterated that there is no evidence of a breach to the company’s systems or engagement with any of its clients.
The firm said it is conducting a further investigation and will report any material findings.
Cybersecurity remains HCLTech’s top priority, and it is committed to protecting the information entrusted to it.
Like TCS, HCLTech noted that the alleged employee data claimed to be leaked is limited and dated a few years back.
