Paradeep Phosphates opened the market higher on July 29, trading at Rs 142.60 at 09:18 hrs, which is Rs 3.35 or 2.41% above the previous close.
The company announced a strong June‑quarter performance, with net profit rising 24% year‑on‑year to Rs 393 crore from Rs 317 crore. Revenue also grew, climbing 36% to Rs 6,124 crore from Rs 4,504 crore.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 24% to Rs 720 crore, although the EBITDA margin fell slightly to 11.8% from 12.9% a year earlier.
In addition, the board approved a new investment of ₹250 crore to set up an Aluminium Fluoride (AlF₃) plant at the Paradeep facility, aimed at expanding the company’s product range and supporting future growth.
Last session the share closed at Rs 139.25, up Rs 4.95 or 3.69%. The stock is currently trading 40.5% below its 52‑week high of Rs 234.05 and 39.53% above its 52‑week low of Rs 99.80.
Paradeep Phosphates has a market capitalisation of Rs 14,456.53 crore.
